I think that the internet is one of many great resources to use in the classroom. I am able to do research on the history of other cultures, keep current on the ever changing Spanish slang, as well as find out current events occuring in othe countries.
I do encourage students to use the internet for our projects, but they need to find 3 sites that have the same information, before they can deem it credible. (There are other questions and criteria that the sites must pass as well.)
I am looking forward to finding ways to give students preselected websites to use as a basis for their research. I know it sounds dumb, but I had never thought about predetermining websites for initial research.
